Hi Saturn, RE: "So Intel's acquisition of Chips and Technology seems to have paid off in the end. The ananlysts were bashing Intel that Intel has nothing to show for this and other acquisitions. "

Your post caught my attention.

Would you please expand on your post?

- why do you feel it has paid off?

- is this strategy applicable to other acqs? (i.e. do you feel Intel has their mna methodology down right?)

It is beginning to appear that Intel's strategy of ignoring short-term sales, focusing on technology, streamlining, then refocusing on sales, seems to work once the technology is absorbed. If so, Intel's way would be the least costly, effective way.

There was a post earlier, I think something about Intel's semi comms being profitable?

Regards,
Amy J
