Also the combined companies enable accountants to smooth rough edges out.

And it means I do not have to go through the work of separating my model into two companies. Of course, it does look like I will have to re-jigger it for the new set-up. Hopefully, they will keep the same reporting format for Q3 and maybe even for Q4.

As a reminder (to those that need it), the company's proforma guidance for Q3 is 21 cents, for Q4 it is 26 cents and for the full year it is $1.05.

I forecast revenues in Q3 at $594MM, which seems on the low side compared to some analysts' numbers I have seen recently. In my numbers I forecast QCT to have EBT of 20%, down from 25.4% in Q1 and 23.3% in Q2. Reason is the forecast decline in chip sales in Q3 to 14MM. I think there could be some upside here to revenues.

However, I consistently under-forecast expenses, so I am not predicting QCOM beating the 21 cents, or if they do, not by more than 1 cent. However, I strongly feel they will not miss.

Key will be forward guidance (as it always is these days <g>).
