You're telling me Big Business or the U.S. Chamber of Commerce doesn't help write GOP legislation?

Get real.

Big Business political donations in last presidential race: 92 percent.

Labor donations in the last presidential race: 8 percent.

Now, where does the greater risk of abuse lie, with Big Business or Organized Labor?

What do you think this Mexican amnesty deal is all about? Humanitarianism? Guess again.

It's about the Bush administration ensuring a ready supply of ultra-cheap labor for Big Business. It's also about the GOP trying to tap into a rapidly growing force in American politics: the Hispanic vote.

The tactic, however, will backfire for the GOP.

Just look at what happened in New Mexico on Nov. 8. That scenario will be repeated throughout the Southwest in eight to 12 years.
