That QCOM is hated by others in the industry makes no difference to me.

It makes a BIG differenc to me. If Qualcomm isn't hated, management isn't doing things right.

True enabling Gorillas are always part of a love/hate relationship. The love is because the value chain (suppliers, customers and third-party vendors) loves that the Gorilla's products inure to the benefit of the value chain; they desperately depend upon the Gorilla and thrive on its success. The hate is because the Gorilla wields immense control and power of over the value chain. Without the hate, you can almost be assured that a company isn't a true enabling Gorilla.
