I prefer to touch minds that I can WATCH open. You may be right that we touch minds on the internet though. I hope it wasn't all just time I spent honing my writing skills. And my spelling- which I have to admit used to be horrible, even though my vocabulary was huge- has improved a great deal thanks to the SI spell checker. Repeated correction has made me better. I always check iffy words in front of my class, so they can watch me use the dictionary. But so far every word I have looked up has been right (whew)- even counterfeiting, which I ALWAYS had trouble with in the past. I was so pleased I got it right. I was also pleased one of my second graders knew such a big word. They are improving their literacy skills so fast. PROGRESS. I think that's what I missed on SI. No sense of progress. I need that.

And I forgot to say thank you. Thank you for saying some of my arguments were brilliant. That was very nice of you.
