heatsinker2> If that's the reason for people upgrading, well there won't be any WinXP sales boom this year. If your current OS is crap, most people will want to see XP prove itself first. Maybe many people will upgrade to escape the problems of Win98, but they will do it 2002... So not much of a sales boost this year.

I was misquoted - I did not make the Win98 statement, but I would strongly suggest an upgrade based on reliability. Win95/98 served the niche for migrating applications from 16 t0 32 bits. At this point there are likely very few applications in anyone's system that actually require Win98, and will not run on Win2k
