W E S T P A L M B E A C H, Fla., July 24 — Cocoa Fernandez is registered to vote. Problem is, Cocoa is a poodle.



And Palm Beach County Election Supervisor Theresa LePore contends criminal activity got the pooch on Palm Beach County's voter rolls.
LePore said she asked the state attorney to investigate whether Cocoa's owner, Wendy Albert, or someone else fraudulently filled out the election card to embarrass LePore's office. Cocoa got on the voter rolls July 11.

The third-degree felony carries a maximum five-year prison term and a $5,000 fine.

LePore said she suspects Albert, a Republican who recently switched to the Reform Party, because the address on Cocoa's card is also Albert's
