JDSU has 1.1B shares outstanding.

SI shows them at 1.32 billion shares, putting market cap at ~11.75B. divide that by runrate sales of 1.8BB gives 6.5 times sales. they are showing -50% growth YoY and have not claimed any visibility. i don't see how to extrapolate from there, but i would rather not pay 6.5 times sales. what do premier semiconductor makers sell for at their trough on a price-to-sales basis?

PS. it seems like somebody is selling this stock in a big way. could that be furukawa? if so, perhaps it will put the stock in bargain territory quickly.
