Tench, I believe Intel shipped XBox CPU's in Q2. That's the only explanation for shipping half a million (EDIT - 1.x million) more "PC Processors" while computer shipments were DOWN and AMD increased processor sales.

IMO, the main reason that Intel got a sort-of-positive response to their earnings is the claim that processor shipments increased. If you take out the lower tax rate (what does that say about Intel's expectations for the future?) -- and bigger acquisition costs, EPS were right in line with consensus.
