Yes, it is very well constructed lyric throughout. The imagery is precise, and builds into a more elaborate structure. The dramatic tension is merged with the dynamic imagery very nicely. There is just that right touch of romantic desperation......On the other hand, my favorite song on the album is actually "Thunder Road"......

Po ...

you and Necon just keep on keeping on ....

to me, a magic filled, and.
masterfully constructed
sentence,
and,
indeed my most favorite poem in slant rhyme in the English language
is one which I occasionally get to utter whilst attending the race track ...

"give it to me in hundreds, please "

ps ..
seeing as how I couldn't pick a slant nothing out of a police line up ...
I kinda just chunked that in there in the description ..
of course, you BIG folks knew I didn't know slant from straight from crooked .. hehehehe

Here is a more upbeat quotation about poetry, from Christopher Fry:

Poetry is the language in which man explores his own amazement ... says heaven and earth in one word ... speaks of himself and his predicament as though for the first time. It has the virtue of being able to say twice as much as prose in half the time, and the drawback, if you do not give it your full attention, of seeming to say half as much in twice the time.
