2:43 PM The continuing weakness in the bond market has brought the 9-day RSI further awaya from overbought levels. The 9-day currently stands at 58.7 versus an overbought 73.2 yesterday and a peak of 74.29 a week ago. 2:18 PM COMMODITY TALK: Natural gas futures have spiked and are up nearly 8% on the day after the American Gas Association reported that inventories rose less than expected. Natural gas in storage rose by 4.1% in the week ended July 20, below expectations of a build of as much as 5%. Natural gas has been in an extended sell-off as inventory levels rose above year-ago levels and moderate temperatures damped demand for gas-fired electric generation. But the latest 6-10 day forecast calls for above-normal temperatures through much of the U.S. next week, adding support.
