Jane and thread, I hereby apologize for posting what are likely overly optimistic numbers regarding the profit potential of my AVIR straddle. I was busy, and tried do that off of the top of my head with predictable results. A much more thorough analysis is contained here for anyone interested: Message 16134595 Aviron got rejected due to inadequate safety data, and it's unclear how much time and money that will cost them. But they will miss this flu season for sure, and they'll be opening down on Monday. The question is only how much. Not sure if this can be traded from the open with high odds of success, but agile traders like yourself might be able to get something out of it. Additionally, I am glad to see we've gotten back to talking about overvalued stocks, if only for the moment. Thanks to all who helped with that. Cheers, Tuck
