Yes. We commonly refer to ourselves as "conservatives", yet these are the people who really want to put history, nations, peoples, and cultures into "static" mode. They claim to be for "the poor" and claim to want to improve their lot, yet they oppose the very steps that would do that. I wonder how many Mexicans now working in maquiladores would go back to their previous existence. These people really seem to want the world to be preserved as a zoo and museum for their entertainment.
