Let's review the exchange. Win made two statements: (1) Poet was the subject of a blackmail attempt; (2) perpetrator remains fairly active on RWET. J. Lummox Allen then responded: "Undoubtedly, this is pure BS." His terse post disputed the facts of both (1) and (2). You then rebutted (2) by saying the "fellow referred to," i.e., the "perpetrator," has not posted on RWET in months. So while you disputed the accuracy of (2), you also validated that someone was fingered in the blackmail attempt, that you heard about it, and that you know the identity of this "perpetrator." Hence, you and the Lummox are at odds. JLA says nothing Win stated was true, while you're acknowledging that one component of the post was true, namely, the blackmail attempt on Poet.
