Aviron's done a good job dumping all the dead weight from their executive staff over the last few years. In addition, they've demonstrated that they have effectively "fixed" the manufacturing problems which initialled KO'd the first BLA. I can't imagine what would hold up approval this time around. Either way, the action on AVIR tomorrow is going to be explosive.

I read the rec this morning. Think it will get approval. FWIW, I've been following AVIR for years. Bought at 8 (4 or 5 years ago) on recommendation from my wife (she heard a piece on CNBC!). Sold it though. No position now. If biotech can continue bouncing, AVIR should be ok regardless of the outcome. Approval could mean a huge bounce that no doubt will be shorted. Lot of non-believers...still. Like Avalon. Anyway, I'd buy in again if it gets massacred. I'd buy a lot. ;) Hope I don't have to, though. Good luck.
