Scott,
When there was prayer in the schools, it was usually the Lord's Prayer, a specifically Christian prayer. Most of the proponents of prayer in the schools would like to return to the use of the Lord's Prayer, but have been forced to adopt silent prayer as compromise.

Many opponents of prayer in the schools do not want the school's authority used to pressure their children to recite a particular prayer, especially if it is the prayer of someone else's religion.

No sir, I don't relate Christianity to Hitlerism, so my point flew well over your head. I do however relate the goal and objective to coerce young people to christianity in our public schools does relate to Hitlerism and imposing a determined individual will on all peoples which Hilter was famous for, so get with read the posts as they are written rather than deciding they are evil before you start.
