Shootie,
I heard that Papaya and Pineapple are also good for this because of the enzymes or something....

Unfortunately, I do think that there is more to this than the HCL levels.

As was suggested to me in PM, I want to get tested for H. Pylori. I did bring it up with my Dr. but he dismissed the idea.

If I want extra HCl, can't I just go eat a 9V battery or something? Oh wait, I guess that is Sulphuric Acid, not HCl.

Shootie, I read an article a while back that said the same thing about acid reflux. I wish I could remember where i read it. But it told a case history of some poor woman whose life had been a nightmare for decades because of it, I think she'd even had some sort of surgery, or was planning it; and a chiropractor (not the internist who'd never been able to help her)suggested two things, HCL and "digestive enzymes." I don't remember if they said which ones, specifically. The reason I remember it is that her cure was so dramatic. Like, almost overnight.

But it did say to take both things, enzymes and HCL.

Oh, I remember something else. The article told about all the (virtually useless) drugs she'd taken and how miserable she was with their side effects.

I made a mental note of this treatment just in case....
