don't want to break up a fight with you big fellas, but...

several weeks ago i went to the official mark twain website and poked around until i found this goldminer quote that has been (apparently) misattributed to mark twain. i will give you the twain website to play around with, and i will just give you the site (imbedded in the si link) that it eventually refers you to so you can search for mark twain quotes. by the way this si link takes you to the posting i did on this goldminer quote several weeks ago. oh and let me add that the official twain website has many, many twain quotes and the goldminer one is not there either.

You are STILL WRONG: Proof below. BUT THANKS: your "URLs" are an excellent example of if someone Famous is wrongly attributed and then wrongly quoted by others enough times, that someone, somewhere will believe them. Kinda reminds me of "READ MY LIPS, No NEW Taxes Bushie Sr." Understand he still quotes himself in his sleep.

Take your case up mis-attribution with the Will Roger's Museum Curator in Claremore Community College Campus, Claremore OK. It's part of a famous speech he wrote and publically gave.

Sorry, but my OKIE trumps your (mis-)Quote-ie.
..
AND try to remember never to argue
with the openly acknowledged prize student of the now deceased Dr. John Sample, Claremore OK, and born and raised in that region of the prettiest part of Oklahoma..

Your turn again...

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEhaw!!

RonReece, did you EVER contact the WIll Roger's Museum Curator and get that little misattribution cleared up?
Just thought I'd follow-up.
