Hawk, I agree with most of your arguments; I just think they undermine your own conclusions. To have the fleet leave might be necessary, depending on the intelligence we have, but to just leave and make no corresponding gesture of strength and determination scores as another big win for bin Laden. Did you read the Weekly Standard article? Thanks for your comments. I was hoping to find a forum for discussion on all-too-likely coming war in the Mideast, but there doesn't seem to be one on SI.
