vic, not all bears were reasonable just like not all bubble participants were unreasonable. looking back, i would have liked to play the bubble with the 90/10 approach so that even if i was wrong (as i would expect to be since valuations were in outer space) i'd only lose 6% a year. if i was wrong (or right? ;-), i'd make much more.

the key is to limit downside when one is speculating against all rationality and playing the greater fool game. it can be done and, i'm sure, some folks did it.
