Left wing revisionist watch: The president's name is George W. Bush. He was elected by THE PEOPLE in same the constitutionally-mandated manner as ALL presidents are elected. That system was set up because even the Founders knew that New York and Boston, as well as future tyrannical city's feverish mobs, would dictate a president to THE PEOPLE against there will at every opportunity. To prevent this arbitrary tyranny, they invented the Electoral College, which, once again, proved their genius in 2000. A president elected by fraud, which is what Al Gore would have been, was THE LAST thing this country needed after the abject failure of the Clinton personality cult....
