This is crazy. For we cannot have it both ways. Either we are on ONE side of the fence or the other But that doesn't tell us what side we are on. Are we on the other side or on the other side? Side one, or side one? When you sit on the fence--which positions are you straddling? The first position, or the first? We can't have it both ways. We are either on the first side of the fence, or the first side. We have to be on the other side which is the first side, otherwise we would be on the first side which is the other side. We can't have it both ways. We must be on this side other, or on this other side. We can't straddle the side of the fence, because the fence only has one side. The bull is there, the cow is there, and so is the other side of the fence. The charge of Mr. Mobius--a whole lotta bull. He only looks at you with ONE eye--but is it the good one??
