Sympathies about that book. Was it The 'Agamemnon' of Aeschylus? (I haven't yet)I recently read the Iliad and enjoyed it (especially how the warriors talked to their gods in battle - i guess we would too) but I don't think I it would have been tough back in high school. I've read that these translations inject modern day concepts of christanity & we lose the original pagan characteristics of these people.
