Actually Dublin is much more of an International city these days than it was when I was recollecting. As amusing as it may seem, people no longer stare if someone is black or Indian. It wasn't that they were bigoted; they just rarely saw anyone who was not white. They were just oddly curious. I brought my mother over once. Someone asked where she was from and when she said "America" they said "Well, then, you must know our nephew. He's in Chicago". Beating you to the punch is an art.
