Since no other retailer has such a rebate, Best Buy must be contributing a substantial part of it. Possibly using some of their co-op dollars.

I hope Best Buy is contributing a substantial part of it. If you subtract $100 from AMD's mobile ASPs AMD loses a lot of profit. (and if you subtract $100 from AMD's overall ASPs then AMD would be giving the chips away for free with a check attached to each one).
