hdl, amzn hasn't promised to post a gaap profit. they've promised a fantasy profit, ie, they EXCLUDE enough ACTUAL costs that they SHOW a profit.

the funny thing is, i STILL don't think they post the fantasy profit. they are flailing. eg, the free shipping on 2 items. 2 weeks later they figured out that didn't work! ;-)

amzn's hypothetical (the meaning of pro forma) profits will lead the company to bankruptcy!
