Well, that's not true. Everyone agreed idiots could use Apples alot easiers than Windows.

Apple could have succeeded. The worst thing that ever happened to them was winning that lawsuit against Franklin in the 80's. Steve Jobs' vision of ruling the world had him controlling the OS AND the hardware, which was a big mistake. MSFT ceded the hardware to others and stayed within their core competencies. This is why they prevailed.

And we all know who the number one provider of software for the Apple platform was (and still is AFAIK).

It always struck me that Apple was too dumb to realize it was a software company with a superior product, and thought of itself as a hardware company (with an inferior product).
