Warren Buffet has sometimes made another type of investment. Witness USAir. Does that management have a passion for their business or are they looking to turn it for a profit? There have been others. Sometimes I think Buffet steps into troubled situations and uses his monetary and personal clout to see that they get bailed out. He doesn't seem to talk about that though.
