The national review article was interesting. I hadn't followed much about the riots at the G8 meeting. TV is too full of the latest sex scandal to devote much time to it. I haven't gotten around to reading the news yet today. Leak in my a/c. I did see the police vehicle run over the protester. That kind of visual is always inflammatory. My own reaction was not so much about shooting him as running him over. That seems so callous.

I should probably read more about the incident before I comment more. I was struck with the point in the article about the media siding with the protesters. I haven't read anything about this incident but I hadn't gotten that impression regarding earlier protests. My sense is that the media is as confused as I am about what the protests are all about. I've read a couple of articles that spoke to that.

Don't worry. I'm not off to demonstrate, even though brees stuck me in that bucket. I'm quite clueless and unsympathetic regarding anarchists.
