somewhere in the vicinity.

Thanks, Peter. I'll have to remember this one. <g> I would like to think that the market is generally more rational. I guess with the large caps, that may be truer than is the case for some of these emerging biotechs.

Best regards,
Ian

<<Not all big stock price moves are driven by fundamentals or news - sometimes it's just a random institutional elephant tramping around somewhere in the vicinity.>>

<<All in all, I didn't hear anything whatsoever that I felt would move the stock which couldn't have already been known with reasonable certainty.>>

Peter & Ian: Excuse me for interfering on the "elephant theory" but consider also that there is a significant number of people (me included.<g>) that sometimes follow the "herd" or "trend". If you look at SCIO price action from a short-term standpoint you may be able to notice that the "short term average" crossed over the longer one on July 26. That was a "short term buy signal" and the same way that some people "buy" or "sell" after an analyst "up-grades" or "down-grades" a stock, there are others that follow the stock's TA pattern.<g>

Now watch it when the stock gets close to the "resistance" at the 25 level to see how the elephants behave.
