George, interesting post. Who wrote it? Milton Friedman? I like this line.... >>"What Bush, and every American who I know that has taken the time to read the auditors report"<< I would like to get a copy of this report. Can't be more than one paragraph if Bush read it. Also, this BS about France and government investments and the end of capitalism.... What the hell is wrong with the government that we elect investing a portion of the social security funds for us if it is such a good idea? Does not the government do a lot of "investing" of our money right now? Do you honestly not believe that the people who truly need social security are not going to get screwed by Wall Street? We will have to create a whole new government bureaucracy just to monitor the creeps that come out of the wood work to stick it to the public. Let me know when AARP and the labor unions put together a $20 Mn ad campaign to get the government to privatize SS. And you know the thing that amazes me the most....the people who are most against socialism keep saying that they know best how to "save" the best socialistic program this country has. What a con job.
