I can agree to having a debt, on the level of having gratitude, some degree of patriotism, and a desire to contribute to society. I do not think I have a debt on a level that means I have a callable enforceable obligation to pay out money to the government, let alone an open ended one that would make me obligated to the government for any level of taxation it might desire to impose. The feeling that I should contribute, combined with the practical facts of the situation prevents me from trying to lead a revolution or leave the country but it doesn't prevent me from calling our tax system extortionate.

One might also stay solely to work against what you are trying to defend in your postings on this subject.
