LSI said capital spending for 2001 is anticipated to be about $400 million. Third quarter depreciation is projected to be about $83 million.

"We expect our business to bottom in the third quarter and anticipate revenue growth in the fourth quarter," the company said in a press release.

OT - RE: "On conference call, says the reason stock was halted at end of day was because a hacker gained access to its press release prior to the release being posted to company's website."

I have recently made a couple of long-term speculative plays in the security sector. News like this doesn't bother me much. <g>
