RE MSFT,
Q is whether they will continue to have ta reflective of parabolic growth generated from compelling "must have" new technology (probably not). Or is their mix of biz and consumer software a maturing industry comparable to Sony's earlier experience with consumer hardware. Although, people tend to focus on cap ex booms and busts I think the real issue is maturing of new technologies. What happens when the last railroad track is down and / or when an export driven economy (Japan) reaches a limit of growth and maturing of its products.

What is clear is biotech represents compelling technology capable of parabolic growth going forward, especially given the demographics of its recipents. Whether that segment of our economy can pick up the slack as other parts of QQQ mature remains to be determined.
