There used to be laws against mixed marriages, gays, sharing a hotel room if you weren't married, etc., etc. All those were eventually rescinded.

How do you get from the foregoing to the following?

I predict that laws against pedophiles will be eased up within no more than 25 years.

In the first instance, the laws were eventually rescinded because the activities being regulated were restricting the choices of consenting adults to associate with whom they desired.

Are you predicting that pedophiles will have less fettered access to children? How so? Will the age of consent for sexual predation be lowered to maybe two or three? Will pedophilia become a misdemeanor punishable like a traffic offense?

There was a case a few years ago, in Milwaukee I believe, wherein a judge ruled in favor of the pedophile because the 5-year old victim acted in a provocative manner and therefore was partially responsible for the pedophile's action.

Please explain your prophecy. I need to let my great-grandchildren know what to prepare their children for.

I'm not a believer in religions, but God, if you are real, please save us from the zealotry of the all-knowing freedom-loving anarchists of the world. :-)

Chas

<<BTW, can't a child of 12 still get married in Kentucky with their parent's permission? If they got married to an 18 year old would the feds arrest him/her? >>

There was a case like that in Georgia last year. A woman in her 20s married a 14 year old. When she became pregnant she was arrested.
