For the most part socialism, fascism, communism and dictatorships are anti-life. I would agree but socialists would disagree and I am not sure you could prove them wrong scientifically. Questions like this call for judgement and philosophy which extends outside of science. Science can give us the facts that we use to fit in to our judgements about how to apply our philosophical principles, but science is not a useful tool to apply to every possible human activity or question. It is like a wondrously designed hammer, we should not let our wonder at the hammer makes us think it can be a good screwdriver. Tim
