I'd been assuming that Verizon would have more equal footing with other bondholders in the case of Ch 11, but this article points out that the convertible bonds held by VZ risk not being worth much after the dust settles either.

The real question is whether the modest (compared to VZ writing off $1.7B) credit facility they're waiting on could really ward off eventual bankruptcy, or whether the broad economy is going to spiral into enough of a recession that no reasonable influx of money for MFNX will save the company.

In any case, we're in panic sell at any loss mode here with unprecedented daily volume. At least that's a contrarian indicator (sometimes!)
