Maurice Winn!!! What a voice from the past! How are you?
Are you here to cause trouble? Did Freddy call for reinforcements? Not that he needs them, as he's the only one who really argues here- the rest of us are too lazy(with the exception of X who loves to argue). I seem to remember you and he having some truly weird existential-type discussions at Feelies years ago that I never understood, but watched admiringly as I baked cookies.

You must be sitting in a different section of the bleachers--I've seen X score quite a few points!

I think it is racist to hold out a crime and link it to people of color simply because people of color committed it. But that's me. Maybe I have a weird definition of racism. Almost all of us, maybe all of us, tend to generalize about race, and in the end we seem to think that race is part of the cause. Not society, not culture, not economics, but race. White's are this way, blacks are that way, Jews are such and such way. That is racist. Racism is simply a belief that race is responsible for the differences between us. Of course practically race affects us all- if only because all of us believe it causative. I have said many times we are all (imo) racist. I don't think I've ever met anyone who didn't generalize about whole classes of people along racial lines- for good or ill- and remember, one can believe race is responsible for good traits as well as bad.

Good luck with your score keeping.

ps- compare racist (which can be about positive traits) to "bigot": one who is wedded to their own religion, politics, race and is intolerant of others. Most of us are probably bigots too. I don't know a person here who doesn't think their own way of thinking is best,. Of course the degree of intolerance varies.
