Louis - Your morning smile -

I just saw an analyst on a Canadian satellite channel talking about JDSU. He said he thought that "maybe they had seen MOST of the bad news out".

I see. They just wrote off the SDLI and ETEK acquisitions down to next to nothing, taking a $50.5 billion charge, and this guy isn't sure that "all the bad news is out".

Perhaps JDSU employees have been stealing those little creams and sugars from the office coffee supply room and it hasn't been disclosed yet.

One day somebody is going to invent an interactive TV technology whereby you can electronically slap the person talking when they say something stupid. It would sell like wildfire.

Futures up towards fair value:
I was wrong in my first post:
Nasdaq PMI is flat, futures some points from fair value, normal again before the open.
For once, futures and cubes were pessimistic.
Lessie if we are up, resuming yesterday's close, or down to where the cubes and futures were pricing half an hour ago.
