Its true, People forget the MITI and BOJ thought they could slowley deflate the bubble in a controlled manner. I think they started by preventing loans to Real estate developers.

that's BS, plain and simple...true, the BoJ did break the bubble that it itself created by being too lax during the boom...it's always the CB that is responsible for the boom/bust cycle. but to charge that the Japanese economy isn't recovering "because the BoJ refuses to increase credit creation" is complete nonsense...if all it took to revive an economy was printing money, why, we'd have invented the perpetual motion machine.
