Ali, Platform Conference marked the first time NVidia demonstrated nForce's 6 channel sound, since they just recently got the audio processor to work in anything but AC97 software mode. In fact, the nForce's on the floor were still running AC97, and were still marked "Crush 12", the codename for nForce 420. NVidia claimed to be getting production ready samples back in August, and reiterated that nForce was "platform processing", not a chipset. viahardware.com Hmmm. If they don't get the nForce whipped into shape soon, the XBox will be delayed. Pravin.
