The news on JDSU is not good at all...

cbs.marketwatch.com

The institutions are dumping it BIG TIME...the smart Funds have been out of it for a while though....it will take a long time for the firm to regain credibility and to experience favorable market conditions. It may also be very difficult for the company to hold onto their top talent -- there still are a lot of well funded start-ups that may attract these people....Just my views.

Best Regards,

Scott

JDSU is setting new lows on very high volume...

finance.yahoo.com

And now the ANALysts downgrade it...what kind of value are they adding? Are they paid Millions of dollars each year to tell us things are bad once a troubled company says it has no clear guidance? Hello...shouldn't they have issued SELL ratings on JDSU several months ago? Just wondering.

Best Regards,

Scott

BTW, here's another update on JDSU...

Next spring would be just fine with me. I'm not greedy! Sure, they're also eliminating 2 million square feet of production facilities. But, as they integrate all those pieces into neater, tighter bundles and take up less space to produce them, their costs should go down and roic go up. A couple of the many things I wish I knew more about (in addition to weeding out all the FUD about whether there's demand in general to light up the dark fiber and the truth about the extent of any "fiber glut") are the life-and replacement/upgrade cycles of these parts that are already in service. Do they need to be upgraded like pc 3-yr product replacement cycles? 5 yrs? 10 yrs? never?
