The selling pressure on Microsoft is astounding right now. The stock has nothing going for it in the next month. I think it will break down to mid 50s and then rise again

As I see it, MSFT is absorbing a lot of selling. There is selling for some good reasons. It was the top DOW stock first half of the year and there will be some that want to take some profits. In addition, insider selling "windows" are probably open again.

However, I see at worst sticking in the 60s for a bit longer. IMHO, it will move past the 72/73 area by late September or maybe when some uncertainty regarding XP and the DOJ/State AGs is lifted.

I don't see the trading in MSFT as unusual at this point.

In the meantime, it will just get traded on news and we will gets lots of speculation on the legal problems. Just great long term buying opportunities during this period, imho.
Should be a run up to next earnings since they have set conservative targets---possibly to set up for stock moves like we had seen pre-DOJ problems.

You could be right that the stock has nothing going for it next month or so but investor/trader habits change over time and people may look at the potential of XP sooner than later.

Just my thoughts on the stock movement; I am still trying to figure it out but legal news should be the driver in the near term.
