Intel 'categorically denies' India allegations theinquirer.net

So, Mike published Intel's "catigorical denial", which of course means it was all made up:

But Intel's claims were immediately countered by Via. Richard
Brown, worldwide marketing director at the chip rival, told the
INQUIRER on Friday.

"Over the past few weeks we have received a growing number of
reports from resellers from all over India, but especially the Delhi
region, saying that they have been asked by Intel representatives
to remove all VIA C3 processor marketing collateral, including
retail display boxes, posters, brochures, and gift items, from their
stores, or face expulsion from the company's GID (Genuine Intel
Dealer) program and thus exclusion from its associated
benefits."

Brown confirmed allegations made by a Via distributor. "A
member of the VIA marketing team was present at the incident
that took place at Nehru Place in New Delhi, in which the police
were requested to close down a stand that we had set up to
distribute free Coca Cola to reseller delivery staff wearing VIA
C3 processor T shirts as part of a promotional program. Like the
balloon incident at Computex Taipei this year, this story is too
surreal for anyone to make up."

Mike's broken more than a few stories to rounds of derision by the local Intel employees, only to be shown to be mostly correct when the dust clears. Remember the 478 pin P4 blowup? Probably not. I suppose the stories about the balloons at computex was all made up too. All a bunch of nice guys at Intel, just like local hero Paul Engel. I think Mike's credibility stacks up just fine compared to the endless "we will bury you" blather from Intel engineers.

Eric, Looks like no apologies are needed, Mike was spot on accurate with his storyy as there have been a number of confirmatory reports from Dealers all over India.

So I suggest you find another hero to play toady to, Intel is obviously black at heart.
