I don't either. The problem is that IT managers like to validate for a platform that will be around for at least two years, preferably three. Intel obviously will not get serious about killing off PIII until Northwood. This means that the platform switch will occur in Q1 2002 at the earliest. AMD promises that Athlon will still be around through the end of 2003, but that is only seven quarters. I do not look for very many corporate IT managers to validate AMD platforms until Clawhammer emerges, including UMA chipsets.
