American Airlines Center takes flight A host of local leaders and a record number of ribbon-cutters celebrated the opening of Dallas' newest landmark this morning. The $420 million American Airlines Center took center stage during its inauguration ceremony, which featured as many as 2,000 participants. Also, part of the ceremony was a prayer of dedication.
