<Please prove me wrong, someone!!!>

Considering what Jerry said about April and May being horrible, looks very unseemly. The Q2 warning came in July and was probably delayed as long as possible from the timing of insider dumping.

Having said that, One could have foreseen a bad Q2. First, the $327 price tag was slapped on 1.7GHz P4. Then there was the Alcatel suit, pointing to a bad situation with flash. Finally, in the last two weeks there was a bloodbath in Athlon and Duron pricing on PriceWatch. All that, while the stock was trading in high 20s and low 30s.

Not to excuse the insider dumping and the lack of warning. As I said, it looks very bad.

Re: "it seems...just doesn't sit well with me that senior management should reap such huge rewards in full exclusive knowledge that q2 was in the dumpster...Not the kind of management example that I'm looking for"

Uh...maybe Harvard will be teaching about AMD's Insider sales in their upcoming MBA Case Study courses !
