From Briefing Friday: 13:19 ET Rumor Mill : In the rumor mill today is talk that Juniper (JNPR 26.31 +1.32) has won or will soon win a contract with AT&T (T). There is also chatter that, if true (and we have no evidence that it is), the news would be negative for Avici (AVCI), for whom AT&T is 100% of revenues. But it's important to note in these cases that service providers almost always get two sources for every type of gear, and that if Juniper gets in at AT&T, it is probably a victory against rival Cisco (CSCO) rather than against Avici.
