the VHS version I have is one of my favs too. Just a fantastic production..and that voice...Oooooooo

amazing how well he could still hit the high notes after all the years. I think that show is a fine coda for a guy who really did matter and gave us some timeless masterpieces

I remember when I'd heard he had passed..severely bummed

He seemed like a genuinely nice person..loved by all.

Reminds of of the piece I read on Carl Perkins after he died. He gave up the spotlight..never even wanted it. His ego was so in check when compared to his contemporaries. To him his family was what mattered and in the end he left this life a much richer man than Elvis, etc....

Last night on "Austin City Limits" I was lucky enough to see "WideSpread Panic"...those duds are supercool. I think the show airs nationally this week..take a peek!
