Even an idiot like myself could understand your position and RMBS's history.
I think you should send that article to Business week or Wall Street. I really think you should.

My hat's off to you.

But why do you have such a sore feeling against RMBS managers or designers? Are they all brats?

On the ivory tower angle, Carl, I got a funny recollection. I remember asking a CS architecture prof about Rambus, back in the early 90s, before Intel anointed it. He actually worked on memory controller design, at Intel no less, before going into academia, but that was way back when Intel still did DRAM. His opinion of Rambus was more what you'd expect from his industry background than from his current ivory tower position, though I don't remember the details of his analysis. What a long and winding road the bus people have followed since then, though.
